Monte D'Oro

A Historic Hoover Neighborhood

About Our Neighborhood

Monte D’Oro is a Historic Neighborhood of 158 homes established in 1964 within the city of Hoover, Alabama. Our neighborhood is located just off I-65 and Montgomery Highway and is a short walk or drive to many amenities such as restaurants, shopping, parks, schools, libraries, entertainment, and the arts. Hoover was also recently named one of the 10 Safest Places in Alabama.

The Monte D’Oro Neighborhood Association is a voluntary group of neighbors whose purpose is to make Monte D’Oro a great place to live. The association maintains our entrances, promotes a safe attractive neighborhood and addresses common issues affecting our community. We also maintain a close working relationship with the city of Hoover and its leaders. Additionally, we have informative meetings, programs, and socials offered monthly from September through May on each second Thursday. Membership is open to any resident of Monte D’Oro.

Monte D'Oro celebrated its 50 Year Anniversary in 2014. Read about our 50 Year celebration on AL.com and the Hoover Sun.
